Description
This route showcases many of the signature features of Burchett Cave while skipping the long Meander Canyon and extended Crawl Passage found on other Burchett Odyssey trips. Even so, be prepared for plenty of crawling, climbing, and negotiating several tight connections. Conditions can be wet and muddy throughout. A steady crawl leads to the base of a 20-foot pit, which you will then climb out of, adding a fun vertical challenge. Participants should be comfortable with height exposure and moving confidently in confined spaces. This trip is designed for experienced cavers in excellent physical condition. Participants must weigh 200 lbs or less—or otherwise be small enough to safely navigate the tight squeezes. Guides may deny participation if there are any concerns about a caver’s ability to safely complete the route. The cave is located on private property and may be visited only during Crawlathon Weekend. Meet at the lodge; transportation provided.
